What’s the difference between maglock and electric strike lock access control timber doors?
The ultimate difference is that maglock access control timber doors require power to lock the door, while electric strike lock access control doors, require power to unlock the door.
How does a Maglock work?
A maglock is an electronic locking device that features a specifically designed plate.
A current passes through the electromagnet plate and creates a magnetic field that when powered causes theelectromagnet and armature plate to attract one another, and thereby hold the door closed.
How does Electric Strike?
In this case the keep is electrically operated such that when power is appiled the strike retracts allowing the door to be opened.
