What does it really mean to be Secured By Design?

Secured by Design is the UK Police flagship initiative supporting the principles of designing out crime.

SBD’s product based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification – provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime. We’re proud to offer Secured By Design and continually strive to develop the level of security across our premium quality timber doorsets. The certification provided includes the door, frame and all hardware in its extensive testing programme.

From our early development work on enhanced security doors in 1999, our aim has been to retain flexibility in design utilising traditional timber construction coupled with the latest in security hardware. What’s more all our timber derives from sustainable sources with Chain of Custody available.*

Secured By Design FD30S & FD60S Timber Fire Doors

At JCK Joinery we specialise in complete and comprehensive timber fire door solutions. All carefully designed to meet your bespoke requirements. Blending style and safety perfectly, not only can we provide a range of aesthetically pleasing FD30S and FD60S fire doors. We can also offer a range of access control features too such as electric Strike and Maglocks.

Our door blanks have the very latest fire rated specifications and have excellent ratings in acoustic, thermal U-values and are all certified to Secured by Design (SBD) PAS24:2016.

Chain of Custody as FSC®* is also available on all JCK timber doors (subject to availability of timber). *Our license code is FSC-C002481.
